While most translators these days spend their energies on contemporaneity and/or political correctness, the editors of the ONT went back to the original Greek, as approved by the Ecumenical Patriarchate, and produced a majestic English text worthy of The Miles Coverdale translation in the elevation and beauty of its language and of the NASB in its clarity and precision.
